An Unclaimed Treasure

Before going south I made a visit with the Cutuli’s and produced the picture above. That is Donna Marie and kids, Alle, Arick, & Andre. It is always fun to visit with the Cutuli’s, I must do it more often. We go back about 22 years.
Sunset at the Beach North of Ventura
Currently, I am in Desert Hot Springs at Sam’s Family Spa. Here, some 30 years ago I met Brenda. Brenda was married to the brother of my friend John Irwin from my college days. So who did I find here? Yap, Brenda, one evening we had a nice chat catching up in one of the hot pools. Brenda is the daughter of Sam who owned this Spa. Now Brenda and her sisters own it.
In our conversation, Brenda called me “an unclaimed treasure”, and I am sticking to it.
Sam’s Family Spa RV infrastructure shows the years, but don’t misunderstand, it is still a nice place and everything works. See the picture of the pool. Lot’s of people live here permanently in the trailer section. At this time, the RV section is at about 40% filled. And in Dec they expect the “snowbirds” to arrive.

The desert is hot and dry; but, I went on a bike ride yesterday anyway, short, about 2 hours and was done by 10 am. Sam’s Family Spa is nice to hang out at, because after riding it is pool time. OK, it is pool tike every day. It also has 4 smaller spa pools at various temperatures to satisfy anyone’s desire.
Before Desert Hot Springs I dry camped on the beach just north of Ventura. Of course it is always nice to camp at the beach. Next week a little bit further south in San Diego I will be.
