Mission Beach, about 7 miles from the RV Park
Am still in San Diego at Mission Bay. Been here about 2 weeks. Done lots a scooter rides along the coast, lots of walks on the beach, and some short, fast bicycle rides. Spent mega hours restoring one old family pictures. The weather here is hard to beat.
Yesterday had to have the scooter toed to a Vespa dealer, the scooter died while coming to a stop at an intersection. Apparently the battery died, and the stator was not sending charge to the engine or the battery. It appears that the stator is sending charge to the voltage regulator, but there is no output from the regulator. So, the scooter is in the Vespa shop as they try to unravel the electrical issue under warranty.
Still doing the Nutrisystem diet. Though after 7 weeks or so, it is hard to be 100% true to the diet. The cravings for going to my usual eating habits is very strong. I can see why diets don't work for long. This is my first time trying to stick to a real diet for loosing weight. Yesterday went to a restaurant and had the biggest breakfast I have had in years, French Toast (very thick and large), with fried bananas, eggs, and bacon, and of course one of the best Bloody Mary's. Even better than the one's I make. The big question, how much have I lost? don't know, but I can say that I have lost 4 inches on the waist by belt measurement. Will continue on this diet through December.
Been scooter riding around in San Diego, I have always liked it here, but never taken the time to get to know it. San Diego is really, really a nice place. Kind of laid back, It must be the easy beach access and the weather.
