Golf at the Senior Citizen Community

Have arrived at Surprise Az, about 30 miles east of Phoenix, Arizona. I am hanging out at Sandra's parents house which is in a "senior citizen" community. Very nice, security, well manicured, golf, large pool, restaurant, lots of walking roads, nice temperature here this time of the year, very active seniors, and very friendly people we seniors are. Some of you youngsters planning retirement, perhaps should look at senior citizen communities, they can be very nice for hanging your hat at, and affordable today. I would recommend buying 5 to 10 years before retirement. Note, senior citizen starts at 55, some of you are close!!

In traveling here stopped at sister Elsbeth in Burbank overnight. Lots of people to see in LA; not enough time, so I waved at their places as I drove by on the highways. Sorry friends, next time. Now if some of you were retired you could have traveled here with.

When I arrived Arizona, for the first time did what lots of RV'rs have  done, that is, dry camped two nights at the local Wal-Mart parking lot. This is a "super store", huge and open 24/7, and busy all night. You can get all your needs there, groceries, eye care, furniture, clothing you name it they probably have it. Talked to their parking lot security, very friendly to RV'rs, didn't mind my camping there for two days.

Sandra and I went on a good walk this morning. Now going to go exploring on the scooter, find a WIFI and look for good bike paths. Later this afternoon will take Stan (Sandra’s bro.) to the Airport. Tomorrow eve will take Sandra to the airport.
