Panorama Made from 4 photos
“Active Adult” Cyclist
Top photo is a panorama composite made from 4 photos. Never seize to amazing me what one can do to photos with software. That panorama is of a new mall in Glendale Az. Near center left there is a place called Margaritaville. Yap, you guessed it. I like hanging out there.
Have done several bicycle rides in the area. I go out by myself; however, last Wed went with the RV park’s Active Adult Cyclist. I was the child in the ride. The oldest was a lady 87 yrs old, her friend she was 86, the others ranged from 67 yrs and up. The ride was 16 mi. at an average of 8 mph. They stop about every 3 to 4 mi for a couple of minutes, and change the order of the riders. All the riders are snowbirds, here for 3 to 6 winter months, then go home. Some have been coming to this same RV park for 15 yrs and ride together a couple of times a week. There are more riders, but did’nt make it on this day.
Had a nice long phone conversion with sister 7, Tence, in Atlanta Ga. Talked about man landing on the moon (did it really happen?) to getting ready for retirement. Dont get to talked to my siblings often, it made my day.
Nice Bike Route
Go out cycling 2 or 3 times a week, usually done by noon, since that is when “pool time” starts. We Cannot have interference with pool time. When riding by myself, have never ran into other cyclist. Probably, in the middle of the week they must be working, and I probably ride where they dont in the weekends. The dessert around the communities that I get to when cycling, are pretty green and cool this time of the year. Dont mind riding by myself, that way I control my ride and enjoy exploring. However, there are some hikes in the neighborhood, will have to explore that, maybe this sunday, when the “Bike Buddies” are out hiking at home after the Cindy "somewhat annual Easter waffle" event.
Yesterday, was pleasantly surprised when Sandra’s sister, Cindy, showed up when I was visiting their mom at the assisted living facility. Will probably go out dinner with them tonight.
Currently planning my return to my old stopping grounds. When I leave Az, on or about 6 Apr, will go to Las Vegas for a few days, then Death Valley for a few days, then .... , and eventually back to my bike buddies.
Life is Good !!
