Typically I drive only about 250 to 300 miles per day. in some places will hangout 2 to 4 days. Later will plot the other points.
The Rouel Great Adventure, Circumference The USA, started today. More later.
Family Stuff:
In May had 3 sibling birthdays, I made each a B-day card from family photos. In 2008 there have been a few Fernandez babies, this is what brother John said, “ ... we have another Fernandez. Seth Johannes Fernandez, born the May 2nd from Alex & Rebeca, our fifth grand child/third grandson; thats three boys in a row and the last two only weeks apart. Elias Gartman; 20 months, Colton Fischer; 8 weeks, Seth Fernandez; 9 days.” A few were born in 2007, “ ... to the Fernandez(s) family tree: Jesse-Dean Fernandes, mother Amber Fernandes, and Grand parents: Henk Fernandes (cousin) and Gina Cohen; and Lorenzo David Fernandez, mother Ethel Mercedes Garcia, grand parents: Jacques Gerardus Fernandez (oldest brother) and Irma Yolanda Fernandez.” And Sister Dorothy has become a Great Grandmother, and the rest of us are Great Granduncles and Great Grandaunts, Her grandson Joe says, “... yes we got married and we had a little girl her name is Allison Christine Lee Castresana she was 5 lbs 11 oz.. we are doing good ...”.
Last week had a great time, met four of my best friends from when “I used to work”. There was Aprille, Linda, Bob and Ron, we had lunch in downtown Mt View. It was good doing some catch-up on their lives'. It was kind of a celebration, almost a year since retirement (11 months, 2 weeks).
My family friends, had a birthday party for me at Sandra’s, kind of early, on account that I was leaving before my birthday to circumference the USA. A good time was had by all. Got lots of neat RV useful present. It is going to be hard to be gone for about 4.5 months, but the adventure must begin. Feel like I didn't say bye properly to most friends, but then, it just an adventure trip. 4.5 months will fly by, I’ll be back.
Here is the general plan:
Go to the “Sacramento Delta” for a few days. If you want to know more about the Sacramento Delta, go to this site: http://rubicon.water.ca.gov/delta_atlas.fdr/daindex.html
Then to Sacramento, to brother Jack’s place for a few days, then to Los Angeles, to sister Elsbeth’s place for a few days. Then to San Diego, to brother John’s place for a few days. It appears that bro John will not be around till middle Jun. I will hang around San Diego till I feel the need to go east.
After San Diego will head to Tucson Arizona. From the map above you can see that I will end up in South Florida, and will take at least 3 weeks to get there. Visit with brother Frans in Tampa, and sister Norine, then sister Dorothy in Davie Fla.
Have to be in Hollywood Florida for my 40th high school reunion Jul 25th. Then I will head north to Atlanta, Georgia, and visit with sisters Lucy, Shirley, Tence, and niece RoseAnn for a few days. Then continue north to Maine and visit friends along the way. Then go west passing thru Ohio to visit sister Joyce for a few days. And then, continue west along a northern route, escaping winter and arriving back in Mountain View Calif by the middle of Oct.
