Winch on the RV Scooter/Motorcycle Rack

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

The bike path along the Kern River Parkway, Bakersfield CA.

The winch on the RV scooter/motorcycle rack.

Am now in Burbank CA, at sister 3, Elsbeth’s & Peter’s place.

Here in Los Angeles, CA will connect with college friends Nancy, John Olea, John Irwin, Erma and Mike.

A last word on Bakersfield, this time of the year Bakersfield was a nice to place to visit. Temperatures in in the mid 70s. The RV park is located by the Kern River Parkway.

Nice place to bike, 60 miles round trip bike path along the dry part of the Kern River. Had a good ride, flat and sometimes windy, also did some walk/hike for more exercise. Here, near the RV park went to a Mexican cantina, and got the worst Margarita on the planet. How a bartender can make a Margarita so bad I could not finish it. Went to the RV and made my own Margarita, not as good as Sandra’s, but good enough to take the bad taste memory of that other drink.

In Sacramento bro Jack helped me make a plate and mount a winch on the RV scooter/motorcycle rack. Now I don’t have to push the scooter up the ramp. Pushing it up was a pain, and now it is easy, no effort, works great and is safer.

Will be in  Los Angeles, probably till the weekend.
