Camping The Bigfoot At ...

Wednesday, August 6, 2008

Elizabeth, mother of long time friend Donna Marie, about 23 yrs. See blog: An Unclaimed Treasure, Nov 17, 2007. What happened to your foot? Nothing, I am just training husband Ralph to do all the house chores. Feels good. Ralph and Elizabeth are hanging out at their house in Ormond Beach FL. Son, Dean & family are coming down for a visit from Alexandria VA. And Donna Marie’s sister, Diane also coming for a visit from Jacksonville FL. Of course I also visited. Ralph & Elizabeth actually live in Virginia.

While hanging out in Ormond Beach, visited with parents of Donna Marie who lives near home in Campbell CA. Got treated to an excellent home made dinner. Neighbors came for a visit and brought dinner. We had a good time, Ralph and Elizabeth recounted Donna Marie and other family stories. We laughed plenty.

Ralph stopped doing chores to checkout the Bigfoot.

As you know this adventure of circumference the USA, is about visiting with family. Here is nephew Donny and his dad Donald. They live in Gainesville FL. We went to dinner, where? my favorite place, The Outback Steakhouse.

I have this property that I had never seen in Crescent City FL, about 45 miles from Ormond Beach. So went to check it out. Found the road sign, except there is no road, it is almost a trail. Thought about maybe camping the Bigfoot at the property, but the trail is not drivable by the RV, and as you can see one cannot even walk on the property.

Currently, am in Williston FL, the RV  Resort here (Williston Crossing) is the best RV Resort that I have ever been to. The pool is not ready yet. The RV sites are spacious, cemented pads, paved roads, properly lighted, sites sufficiently apart. The grounds are immaculate, and carved from the natural forest, lots of grass and tall trees providing good shade. It is a very comfortable place to RV camp. There are about 300 RV sites.

Tomorrow am heading out to Atlanta GA to visit with more family. Will likely get get there on Friday.
