Do it till it Feels Right !

This is my grandnephew Colton, will be 1 yr old in March 09. And with my niece Rose Clara and husband Mark.
I have been derelict in maintaining the blog lately, why? my compulsive nature, there are somethings that just capture my focus. Then I tenaciously spend lots of time on those things till it feels right. Earlier I mentioned that I was working on a project, that is the thing that capture my time and efforts. The project is to create my own tool for a family genealogy using a database application. I know, I have the family genealogy already on the web. That was done with a commercial application. It works well, but it has limitations. So I have spent 12 to 16 hours a day, for the last 2 weeks, learning to use the database application. The learning curve is huge. During this time, no biking, and sporadic walks on the beach. Last night, around midnight I got to a point were it felt right to stop with progress so far. It will probably take several months before I get it on the web.
A note on my nature, tenacity, was at the center of my success in college and career. And perhaps at the expense of focus on traditional family lifestyle. In short applying tenacity at work sucked up huge amounts of my time. It was about 17 yrs ago that I got to the point that it felt right with what I had accomplished professionally. Then I embarked on spending time on other things of life. Like, cycling, hiking, and discovering great friends, “my family. We spend lots time together, yap, hiking and cycling and just having fun. You see them throughout this blog. Last year was the second time in the last 17 years that “we” did not do a cycling tour. Of course I was off on the “circunferencing the USA adventure”.
The weather is nice, so am off to a beach walk, and then BBQ lunch, and then a bike ride. I will do it till it feels right. Seee Yaaaa
