Interconnected Facts

Being Valentine’s day, to all my girls, Happy Valentine.

I have taken the time to watch and listen to our president, Barack Obama, address our nation in weekly reports and town hall meetings. What a pleasure to have an articulate president that seems to understand and tell it like it is. Specially when a media person asks a twisted question with intended innuendoes. He quickly, well maybe not so quickly, explains with elaborate detail and disarms the innuendoes with complex interconnected facts.

I guess am inclined to express political stuff. But no, I will hold back some. However, here is a politics website that is worth browsing, have spent lots of hours checking the various links there Click Here.  Yes, have read small bits and pieces of the Congress approved “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act”. The “House” still does not get it, cooperation and compromise is their primary responsibility when affecting and effecting policy for the nation.

Above is 2 yr old Alice Chegwidden demonstrating her kung foo. At 2 yrs old kids are amazing learning and conceptually creative fun creatures. Where did she learn it, from an older kid in day care we think.

On the right are my foot steps on the beach by the Marina Dunes RV resort, sure liked it there. While at Marina Dunes in Jan got to do some cycling on the Monterey Bike trail, it runs south along the dunes for about 22 miles. The bike path also goes by near the beach part of what used to be Ft Ord. In younger days, I did my army basic training there. This bike trail goes by what used to be the rifle target practice areas. Since it is no longer used, it is being reclaimed by nature. The old empty storage bunkers are still visible and accessible. A favorite with kids, dads and moms on biking outings on this excellent trail. On the other side of this bunkers is a great beach seldom visited. The beach is pretty much like the photo above. Hiking on the beach in the direction of the above photo for about 6 miles will get you to the other side of this bunkers. Almost made it there on one of my walks.
