This resident of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, hikes any where he wants to. Click Here for more info about the Bison.
This map shows locations where photos were taken while hiking. This area of Yellowstone NP is referred to as “The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone”. I almost skipped checking this area out. Had driven the main road a couple of times on the left and thought had seen it. On the third time driving by, just decided to pull in on the the North Rim Dr, wow !! it was awesome, we immediately decided to hike on the North Rim trail. We also decided to come the next day and hike on the South Rim Trail.
Hiking the North and South Rim trails of The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. When you come to Yellowstone NP you must visit this geological feature created by the Yellowstone river.
Bison trekking across the road, photos of Mammoth in Yellowstone, and from the North Rim of “The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River”.

We went there because it was recommend that we would definitely see Moose and Elk there, as they walk through the town all day long, it is also on the “grand loop” road. Well, we got there, after an hour, no moose no elk. I talked to a ranger in the town, he looked around as to look for them, his response, “hmm! they are usually around but not today”. So we left Yellowstone without a moose sighting, but we did see an elk, for a few seconds as we drove by and there was no place to pull over for a photo.
