A Most Excellent Kayak Adventure

You can’t hangout by the Colorado river without doing a Kayak trip. This one started at the foot of the Hoover Dam, and went for about 11 miles. I recommend it, went with Desert Adventures, they do various tours, kayaking, motorized rafting, hiking around the this part of the Colorado River.
After arriving in Needles which is by the Colorado River, went for a short hike in the heat. And took my first good look, up-close, at the mighty Colorado River. On the weekend there are lots of people here, and boating appears to be the most popular activity.
Was kind of hoping they would have a long walking path along the river bank. I could see why that was not to be. People have their own beaches along the river. And some have their own Bar, BBQ station along the beaches.
To do the kayaking trip, rode the scooter 90 miles from Needles to Boulder City, and stayed at a casino overnight from where I was picked up by the tour company early next morning.
A new bridge bypass is being built across the Colorado. Just down stream from the Hoover Dam. It seems the new bridge bypass is taking as long as it took to build the Hoover Dam.
I did some research and found that near Las Vegas, Nevada there seems to be some excellent hiking trails. I will do more hiking training in the heat there.
