July Birthdays Came and went ...

After returning from the Grand Canyon, hanged out in Morgan Hill for a few days, and did a bike ride one evening, up to Anderson Reservoir. Had not been there in ages. Good to see that the reservoir is full, was not so last time here.
Am going to be all over the map on this blog. Currently hanging out in Vancouver Canada. On my way up here, noticed that the Shasta Cascade Region is quite a wild an beautiful playground. Somehow never noticed it before, definitely will have to spend a month or two exploring this region. But it does get hot in summer, so will plan for spring time or fall to explore the area. Maybe on the way back from Alaska, though I have lots to do on the way back.
It has been a while since last visited Vancouver, been here 4 or 5 times before, had forgotten how beautiful this city and the surrounding area is. It sure is a vacation mecca. And it is good to see that it is still a very bike friendly city. How many cities offer a tour by bike, "Vancouver by Bike". Only once before did I hangout as a tourist for a couple days, and it was also for a cruise to Alaska. Don't remember much of that visit, except for taking the Skyride to Grouse Mountain, I think.
July Birthdays came and went, it was Sandra and Vickie. We celebrated as usual, Sandra had the get together at her place. Lots of most excellent wine, and Thomas’s BBQ ribs, most excellent indeed.
Of course Joey was also at the birthday party, he could not help it, he lives there. Alice and Joey had a great time playing together, and we all had a great time as usual.
The Burnaby Cariboo RV Resort is pretty nice, but the sites are very small. It has an indoor pool and hot tub. Will hang here for a week and explore the area, like visit bro John in Victoria island, he's got a timeshare there while hanging out for the Alaska cruise. Will also visit Hornby Island, there is Peter and Judith, we met them here many years back at the first Tour BC (British Columbia) bike ride. Peter and Judith met at the second (or third) Tour BC ride, and been together ever since.
Tomorrow will take the scooter back to Seattle to visit with nephews Alex, Jerel and their families, sons of sis Shirley, she lives near Atlanta Georgia.
Next blog from Alaska. Seee Yaaaa.
