Why take a picture of water? Well, there has been so much rain that a path where I walk, about 50 yards from my RV site and 80 yards from a small creek ... is now not a small creek and flooding the path. Yep the creek overflowed it’s banks. And I have the only RV site at the park where water oozes out of the water logged mountain side over my RV site, so that now I have constant couple of inches of water flowing over my entire RV site. It was not like that on Feb 1st. But that is OK, am leaving here next Tues, 1 Mar.
A few days ago, friend Bob from Maine once again ping me, that am not keeping up on my weekly blog. Of course he is right. So what is my excuse this time? Let’s see, a lot of rain? no, very cold? no, though last night I forgot to cover up the scooter resulting on ice all over the scooter this morning. Could it be a very, very slow WiFi at the RV park, yep that is my excuse. So today am at Starbucks in town doing my lately not so weekly blog.
Before the monsoons, One day Cindy pick me up at the RV park, and we headed to Monterey. We spent a most excellent day walking about in Big Sur.
Spending a day with Cindy is always a happy day. And spending the day at Big Sur’s magnificent beach trails and views is always memorable.
Was cycling every other day, and just starting to get some conditioning like in days gone by. Then the rains, ... has nocked me back to square one.
In between rain days, did a nice hike with Jenna, Sandra, Elaine and Monica. We hike the PG&E trail in Rancho San Antonio, one of our favorite trekking grounds it has lots of trails. On that day we did a 9.5 mile loop. Our Jenna, is training for another big adventure, she’s getting ready for trekking about in the mountains of Nepal. It seems that every year Jenna has been taking off in some big adventure, Kilimanjaro, Machu Pichu, now Nepal. I have forgotten all the other places she has trekked; go Jenna.
Have also done a couple Tues and Thur Vickie and little Alice adventure walks, as it has become our custom. Lately little Alice likes me to chase her shadow, that means run and catch her if I can. For a 4yr, she is fast, I can keep up when she gets tired, just barely. She likes to laugh about that, she calls it great exercise uncle Roo. As she like to call me.
