... Thought It Was Going To Be Easy

A couple of Fridays ago went to the Banff Film Festival presented at a local high school. They showed only a hand full of the films of the actual Banff Mountain Film Festival. Went with Vickie, Scott, Alice and Cindy.
I have not been up to anything of much fun, the daily hours and hours of rain have put a damp on doing anything outdoors. Not fun to get on the scooter, not fun to go out cycling. Though one day Cindy got me and Sandra to do walk along a bike path here in Mountain View. Sure enough it rained and hailed on us on the way back.
Also went to our March birthday celebrations, we had two: Elaine’s and Jenna’s. Jenna is at left in the photo on the right. We went to one of her favorite restaurants.
My cousin Leo, from my father’s side, in Holland, sent me info about our family that extends our lineage back to 1670 and Spain. We, I had always assumed that since father’s last name ended in a “s”, that our ancestry was Portuguese. It looks like both side of the family have origins in Spain.
So what does Rouel do with all his time sitting around indoors waiting for winter to fade, so that I can take off RV’ing? Was planning on going to the Northwest since there are National Parks there to be visited. But winter seems mean this year, I think am going south to San Diego, in early April. So what have I been up to? I decided to enhance my genealogy application to incorporate recording more data such as source citations, and a multitude of life event info. Like, recording marriages, burial data, adoptions, occupations, religion, divorces, graduations, baptism and much more. Whose bright idea was this, I really thought it was going to be easy. Ay ya yai, lots of complexity and time consuming programing. Though should be done in about a week, just in time before going RV’ing.
