BIG NEWS, Vickie, Scott, and Alice come home from China with their new Joseph. Big news indeed, last Fri, went to the San Francisco airport and picked up a very tired Vickie, Scott, Alice and Joseph.

Joseph, after a couple of years finally comes to his new home and family. Yep it took at least two years to make this adoption to happen. Joseph arrives from China at his new home in Mountain View Ca. I tried to get his attention for a picture, but Joseph’s priorities are different than mine, he wanted to explore, and do what a two yr old wants and that is play. His new big sister, 4 yr old Alice, showing him his new toys in his bedroom.

I think Joseph is going to make Scott and Vickie into “real parents”. Alice was to easy on them, after watching him for about an hour, I get the impression he is “pistol”.

The RV Resort and Bike Parkway.

After picking them up at the airport, It was time for me to hit the road. So, I had told some people, that I was heading north, to Oregon and Washington, as there are National Parks there to be visited. Did I go North? nope. I told other people that I was heading to the beach, did I go to the beach? nope. And I told others that maybe I was heading south to San Diego, did I go south? nope. So what’s up with all that mis-direction? I don’t know, I am a tumbleweed that rolls with the wind, I went south east to Bakersfield Ca. Why Bakersfield? it turns out the RV Parks in California by the beach have become very expensive, specially after 1 Apr. They want $1200 to $1800 a month for an RV space. Of course that is ridiculous. Gasoline in California is over $4.00 a gallon, that is also ridiculous. As for going north, Winter is still hanging on there. I looked at my monthly gasoline budget, and the max amount for an RV site that I was willing to pay for a month. Bakersfield was a good choice, it is about 4 hours from “home”. This RV resort is by a great bike parkway, and the weather in Apr in Bakersfield is great. I have always like this RV resort. So that is why I am here. I will go north, someday !!
