Making Power Moves ....
Wednesday, November 7, 2012
People making power moves, like my Grand Nice Kristen, daughter of Niece RoseAnn, Grand Daughter of sis Dorothy. What did she do ? She got married in Florida, on Monday, 5th Nov, 2012. A very big “CONGRATS” !!! Keep making Power Moves !!!
Grand niece used to be Kristen Brodsky, married Alex Alfonso, so is now a very happy Kristen Alfonso. Have only been in her presence 4 times in our lives, that I remember. But thanks to Facebook, I can see and feel her life. She and Alan often post there and as such we have a connection. Though I guess, I being much older don’t post as often as our younger generation. But it is a connection, an any connection to family is always a good thing, So we all should say.
I like that they kept their wedding very casual, very simple, and then shared it with the world in this modern social media thing called Facebook. Connecting with friends and family all over the world. Kristen, at least from her mother’s side of the family has relatives in Venezuela, Holland, Surinam, Canton Ohio, New York, Georgia, Florida, San Diego area, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and me here Mountain View California; and probably elsewhere in the world. Kristen has from her mother’s side: 2 Brothers, 2 sisters, 12 Grand Uncles & Aunts, 25 First Cousins, 17 Second Cousins. Sorry, I have no genealogy from her father’s side of the family, yet.
So here are a few photos from the Happy Mr & Mrs Alfonso:
Here are some of the posts I found in Facebook:
From Kristen:
Today marks 8 glorious years with the love of my life, Alex Alfonso. Through living together or having to be in a long distance relationship, you've always had my back & been there to catch me at every fall. Tomorrow, I will marry you & I couldn't think of anyone else I would want to journey through my entire life with by my side but you, baby. ♥ I can't wait to call you my husband!
