... Publish Only Good News
Thursday, October 3, 2013
I read a lot of stuff, including daily news. News media tends to focus on negative, bad stuff in the world. But not often enough on positive, good stuff. The above is one of those that I consider good stuff. We need a news paper that publishes only good news stuff.
My political junk: In recent times our political behavior has being referred to as “American Exceptionalism”. In my opinion American Exceptionalism is a good thing. However, thru-ought modern times, there are many “types” of practicing Democracies, none quite like what our USA has had. But our democracy practice has been hijacked to: Government of the People, by the Few, for the Few. Not quite what Abraham Lincoln (Click if you want to know more) intended. Therefore, perhaps today, we do not deserve to be referred to as displaying “American Exceptionalism”, our democracy today seems to be like the other practicing democracies. I hope we can get it back soon. “We”, need to clean “House” in our congress.
Just got back, from visiting sis Elsbeth in Burbank, Ca.
My niece Jane from Georgia, has moved back to Los Angeles, in the back my grand niece Rebecca.
Here is sis Elsbeth and husband Peter.
Above is niece Clara, mother to Rebecca, on the right my niece Cassandra.
Originally was to hangout in LA for a week, but niece Cassandra needed to go back to school to UC Santa Cruz. While her parents drove her there. I did my good deed and took some of her big furniture in the RV. So left LA earlier.
But that is OK, Santa Cruz is not far from home here in Mountain View. About 40 mi. I need to explore Santa Cruz, and find some good urban RV’ing locations.
Santa Cruz, Ca, can be a very nice place to hangout from time to time, click to learn more about Santa Cruz.
I have been paying tons of $$ monthly for Health Insurance coverage from/thru my pension. Then a good thing happened, my bro Jack, reminded me that I might be eligible for Veteran Health Coverage. Yep, checked it out, sure enough, having served in the Army way back when, I have veteran benefits. Have applied for my benefits, and have my first general medical appointment in 2 weeks. This appointment should give me an idea as to whether changing from my current health plan is a good idea. For me, I would have co-payments to make for used services. Still It means many hundreds of $$ per month savings. It would be like getting a big raise on a fixed income. I call that good news.
