Cindy, at lower right had a birthday, and as is our custom, we celebrated by taking her out to dinner. All of us bike buddies, Thomas, Don, Elaine, Robert, Sandra, Vickie, Cindy and me. Many week long bike tours
Lots of things happening lately, went to a Halloween Bash, which also was a birthday celebration, as college friend Jim was born on Halloween. We went to the Mountain Winery for the Bash. Of course we danced, ... and fun was had by all. On the right of Jim is his mom, 80 something and going strong, she also danced it up.
Bike buddy Keith gets married to Norma. Norma was born in Aruba, and Aruba is where my two older brothers and two older sisters were born. But much earlier than Norma.
Elaine on the right is determined to get me back in shape. She has been taking me out for the past 5 weekends to do 45 to 55 mile bike rides. She says am getting stronger. But I know am nowhere near what I was just a few years ago. So am now also determine to get back in excellent riding condition. Have been thinking for months that I should go out and do a few centuries (100 milers) next year.
An hour ago, was doing some winter clean up in the RV and found .... In days gone by, the organized centuries gave out patches upon completions. On the left there is actually 50 of them. My estimate is have done around 65 of them, and 5 double centuries (200 miles in one day). I know am bragging, but It is my blog am allowed to brag, specially if it helps to put me of a mind set to do a few centuries next year. It is time to get some training miles during the weekdays. But not today, Vickie wants to go do a power walk at Rancho San Antonio. Probably 8 to 9 miles, with lots of climbing and possibly some rain, We have enjoyed many of those.
