... But, Later May Never Come, So Just Do It Now.

A bike ride in Yosemite Valley (Oct 3, 2014).

Hey Kids, did you miss me ?  You may have wondered, ... or not, why has Rouel stopped blogging. I have asked my self a least a dozen times, the same answer over an over, I don’t know. Just did, then why not start again, I told my self many times.

Well, finally reached the conclusion, why, is really not important, just do it now, ... later may never come. So here we are. One of the nice things about maintaining a blog, is that I can always go back to see and remember fun times in life.

When I left Yosemite last Oct, went to Sequoia and King National Parks. Sequoia NP has some big old trees. This one is General Sherman, click here if you want to know more. I made the mistake of coming in to the NP from the south road. The RV park was way outside of the park, and they would not allow my RV, at 29 ft, to enter the NP from that direction. Very winding, tight turns. Not much fun to ride the motorcycle 27+ slow miles one way to explore the park.

So I left after a couple of days. Where to ? the beach, Pismo Beach, CA, always been one of my favorite hangouts in retirement. Was there Oct 14th to 18th, 2014.

Have always enjoyed doing long, long walks on the beach, 3 to 4 hours round trips. Sand dollars, this one about 4 in., when young in the old country use to find them in all beaches, at least so it seemed. Now, I find them every once in while here. Of course the waters are much colder here, that may be the reason I don’t see them more often, click here.

Left Pismo Beach and went to Pinnacles National Parks. Pinnacles NP is the newest park in the system, click here. A selfie in Pinnacles, and a structure from high above from one of my many hikes I did there. In the RV park and camping area there is no WiFi or phone service, but one day way up high on a trail, found a bench a sat for a while, a couple came up, recent retirees from the east coast, we chatted, then our phones simultaneously pinged, ... emails. She was so happy to get emails, ... guess we were all happy, though our phones were to far from the towers to send / respond to the emails.

At Pinnacles wanted to see Condors, did not see one this time, on my way out asked a ranger, he said they are all at the beach, ~ 150 miles away, feeding on a whale carcass, and have been there for weeks, click here if you want to know more. “We think they smell the carcass from here”, he said.

The best Bloody Mary’s ever in Pismo Beach.
