... The World Crashed

Thursday, May 7, 2020

The world is well into the Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic, about five months. Yep, it crashed the entire world, not as may deaths as in previous historcal pandemics, at least so far. "Cholera, bubonic plague, smallpox, and influenza known as some of the worst killers in human history. … smallpox, which throughout history, has killed between 300-500 million people in its 12,000 year history.” Click Here if you want to know more.

Things are not going to be same, if ever. But you already know that. "… Dream of tomorrows, … maybe some will come true", Food for thought after the virus, in this YouTube video, “The Great Realization”. yes, skip the add, and skip the trial.

One of my niece's, a nurse at work during COVID-19. Three of my nieces have taken after one my sisters, and became nurses. And one niece became a mid-wife after spending time in the Peace Corp.

Niece at left. And sister at right, in younger days.

Wonder if nurses wear caps in this modern times.

I have not done much since last blog, in February. Just hanging loose, 'sheltering in place’, we know that is hard to do; hence, doing lots of walks with my bike and walking friend Vickie, and yes, we practice ‘social distance’. Let’s see, last month, Apr, did 29 Active days, for 216 miles, 52 mi more than in Mar. So in Apr, biked 90 mi, and walked 126 mi. What a wimp, ah?

One day, while working doing improvements on my portable flexible solar panels for the motorhome, drilled a hole in my left-hand, 8 stitches. Ouch, don't do that !! This portable solar panels usually I attach them to the side of the motorhome using suction cups. They have stayed on for weeks. And it takes about 7 minutes to installed or remove, hence portable. Of course I can place on the ground, but it seems more secure from tampeing (stollen) attached to the motorhome. Still needs overall improvements, since they are flexible solar panels, had to make a frame for them; cheap and easy to work with using PVC tubing.

See Yaa !!
