This page has internet links to other projects that I have posted to the internet. These projects are old, done years ago, am putting the links here to make them more easily accessible for me. Some times I forget where I put them.

Rouel's Projects Consists of Publishing Stuff That Some May Find Useful For Their Own Projects:

iPhone Accelerometer Calibration, in the early days of the iPhone, the accelerometers data was precise but not accurate. That is, the measured accelerometers values could be off in the range of about +/- 10 deg.

I believe Apple has now fixed this problem. But it may be wise to check it once:

This project has been super-ceded by the next project below. Also, in the early days of the iPhone, they did not contain gyrometers, but people were accessing the accelerometer and magnetometer to calculate useful stuff. Such as: Pitch, roll, a set of Euler angles, 3D rotation matrices, rotation axis and angle, quaternions. These calculations apply only for “static” conditions, that is, the mobile device (iPhone), a rigid body, is at rest or in uniform rectilinear motion:

The following will explain a spreadsheet that has been created with the incorporation of gyroscope data to extract relatively accurate motion and orientation for a device that contains gyrometers, accelerometers, and magnetometers, like the iPhone. This publication is a follow up of the above project with a more encompassing analyses for “Calculating Everything From iPhone Sensors”.

Links to the spreadsheets for above project:

The spreadsheet is that of the free OpenOffice suit. Since the OpenOffice Calc (Click Here)

The Excel format (Click Here). However, I cannot vouch that the created Excel formatted version will perform correctly; it was saved so using the OpenOffice application; however, it is suppose to be “very compatible”.

Measure Length Or Distance With An iPhone. Ever wonder how measurements of length of an object like a wall, or a distance can be performed using an iPhone. There are few apps like MagicPlan, and Theodolite that can perform these measurements. All it takes is relatively simple trigonometry relationships:

This project has been a labor of pure fun. Have created a genealogy application that runs on: OSX (MAC), iOS (iPhone), iOS (iPad), Windows (PC). Hence, have been working on it for many years. Many, many bug fixes and features added. The application is called “Your Relatives”.

A full genealogy software application with a graphical display of family kinship that makes it easy to understand how kin are related to each other:

This is a project that I created to document my high school reunions for my classmates, South Broward High School, Class Of 1968, Hollywood Florida:
